Effect of different fatty acids on GSIS from the perfused pancreas of 18- to 24-h–fasted rats. Pancreata were perfused initially with 3 mmol/l glucose and then for 40 min with 12.5 mmol/l glucose in the absence or presence of the indicated fatty acid at a concentration of 0.5 mmol/l (with 1% albumin).
