Angiogenic capacity of conditioned media of EPCs in an in vitro angiogenesis assay. HUVECs were plated on extracellular matrix
and subjected to EPC-conditioned media. Tubule networks were formed overnight and structures were visualized with Calcein-AM
staining. Quantitative analyses of tube formation were performed using an imaging program. A: A significant inhibition of tube formation of patient EPC conditioned media is shown. B: Representative pictures of the stained tubule networks formed after incubation of HUVECs with the conditioned media of EPCs
derived from thee different patients and their age- and sex-matched control subjects.
