  • Data are means ± SE for rats studied under basal conditions, during hyperinsulinemic-euglycemic clamp or infusion of intralipid and heparin (n = 6–8 animals/group). Average plasma glucose and insulin concentrations were determined from samples taken directly before and at the end of tracer exposure. The glucose infusion rate was calculated over a period of 60 min during hyperinsulinemic-euglycemic clamp.
