Data are means ± SE for 3 mice. WT and UCP1-KO mice were fasted overnight, anesthetized, and injected with 0.2 mg/kg NE, 1.0 unit/kg insulin, or saline intraperitoneally as vehicle as in Fig. 2. The concentration of plasma glucose, FFA, and insulin were measured before and 11 min after the injection.
