  • Data are the means ± SE of 7–10 mice per group. Male PPAR-α null or wild-type mice were fed either a control diet or an isocaloric high-fat diet containing 27% safflower oil without or with an 8% fish oil replacement for 2 weeks. Weight-matched mice were 6-h food deprived prior to euglycemic (∼5 mmol/l)-hyperinsulinemic (2.5 mU · kg−1 · min−1) clamps.
